Hi, intrepid readers!

When we started FBPPC, social was an emerging advertising medium. Facebook was the only major player, and even then it could hardly be taken seriously as a competitor for Google. The Facebook advertising community was relatively small, and advice and insights were critical as people adopted the channel without a ton of best-practice support from the Facebook side.

Since then, Twitter and LinkedIn ads have gathered momentum, Pinterest is looming as a player, mobile has overtaken desktop, and video is the new black. Simply, everything has changed – including just about everything to do with running Facebook ads.

Today, to be a digital advertiser and to keep social advertising at arm’s length is to do your clients a disservice. Having social advertising content separate from our other digital marketing content is no longer appropriate given the current state of the industry. As such, we are bringing our FBPPC content under the umbrella of the 3Q Digital blog.

Marketers who are only SEM should know about Twitter cards, and Facebook advertising mavericks should know about the latest developments in AdWords – and we all could use more knowledge about cross-channel attribution. Silos are becoming a thing of the past, and we are excited to have our blog (the very voice of our company) reflect that.

There shouldn’t be any downtime for FBPPC (unless something in our merge process goes awry). After Memorial Day, FBPPC.com will redirect to the 3Q Digital blog, and all new social content will be shown there.
