The spotlight on Chicago’s violence outbreak has been heightened now more than ever, most notably among youth within the city’s underdeveloped and impoverished neighborhoods. So just how can we work to combat a seemingly unstoppable epidemic, both in Chicago and beyond?
Internationally acclaimed non-profit The Good Life Organization is working to powerfully and creatively solve long-standing social issues within poverty-stricken communities nationwide, and on Tuesday, May 17th, we’ll hear from one of the organization’s most inspirational success stories.
Director of Business Development David Rojas will join our Chicago office for a presentation on harnessing social entrepreneurship to activate youth abilities and create “legitimate hustlers.” Utilizing a movement that is both based in research and culturally relevant, David will showcase how he and his team are creatively working with communities to challenge the negative trends facing youth today, and encouraging them to create significant change. David’s presentations and workshops are unique in the fact that they not only include thoughtful research, but also his own story of transforming his misdirected social entrepreneurship skills for the greater good.
Space in the office is limited, but we will be providing 3Qers with a Zoom login to tune into the event from remote locations. Come with questions – we hope to see you there!
