What is your favorite thing to brag about at 3Q?

Company Culture. I’m directly involved with a great group of people who represent each of our offices. We think and feel as one and make sure the employee work experience and company culture is fair to the company and its employees. We can’t please everyone, but we try our best.

Who is the unsung hero of your team?

Carl – Carl and I have been a long-standing two-man tech team, and with his guidance, rarely anything has ever gone awry. A good mentor knows when to step in and when to let the other learn on their own.

What’s the best part of your office?

Chicago-Loop-SEcorner

The Chicago office is smack-dab in the middle of the Loop. It’s nice to say you “work in the Loop”. It’s sort of like bragging rights in my opinion.

Care to share your favorite spot to work from home?

When I work from home, I work from home. If I had time to go to another location, I’d rather go into the office.

What does 3Q’s culture mean to you?

The Culture is what you make of it. For me it’s about the hustle. I work full-time, go to school full-time, and work on projects on the side. 3Q allows me to succeed while I’m at work and outside of work.

What advice do you have for someone who wants to work at 3Q?

Without beating around the bush: Get ready to work. If you don’t fit into our culture of work ethics, you’ll be left behind. And that’s not because we want you to be left behind; we just have so many people who are eager to learn and grow professionally and personally. So, if you don’t show that initiative, you’re only allowing yourself to be left behind.

Which of 3Q’s core values is most important to you, and why?

Definitely “everyone is a client.” It’s not just about taking care of our clients, but it’s also about taking care of the people who take care of the clients. A mouthful? You bet it is. As the IT Manager, my main goal is to make sure everyone has the right tools to do their jobs. You have to be quick on your toes; you can’t expect everyone to work if you’re not working just as hard, if not harder, than the rest of the team.

If you had to switch offices, which office would you pick and why?

I want a ticket for rotating offices. Just coming from my perspective and how I support our growing 150+ company…I wish I could provide more 1-on-1, face:face support.

What is your motivation to come into work every day?

I’m in it to win it. Because #winning

What has been your favorite perk item/activity?

We had FitBits given to us through our perks budget. That’s something that really kicked off my health goals. I’ve been keeping up since February and surpassed my personal health goals and still getting better.

What trips have you gone on/do you plan to go on with your unlimited PTO?

Loyola University offers a study abroad program that has 1 quarter packed into 10 days. I’m definitely looking into going to Europe…we shall see.

Would you rather fight 100 duck sized horses, or one horse sized duck?

One horse-sized duck would make one extremely large lobe of foie.

What is on your bucket list?

Travel the 7 continents.

What’s your favorite thing on your desk?

Cleanliness.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?

Work out so I can eat, then work out because I feel guilty, then eat again because I’ll be hungry.
