In other Facebook news: use of the dedicated messenger app is on the rise and people buying CPG goods tend to like to interact with brands via Facebook instead of Twitter.

Twitter wants more of your advertising dollars, so they’ve been meeting with marketers to try to convince you to spend more and focus on aligning ads with public events.

Pinterest is about to introduce it’s own audience targeting and conversion tracking, which is clearly a step in the right direction.
