This is the subhead for the blog post
Our Humans of 3Q series continues this week with Shannon Fishman, Mobile Account Coordinator, out of our San Diego office! Get to know Shannon below:
Explain your role at 3Q in 3 sentences or fewer:
I work on the mobile team providing strategy recommendations to mobile app clients to best accomplish their app marketing goals. I also manage the day-to-day campaigns of multiple app clients. I specialize in AppsFlyer support throughout the agency and have a working knowledge of other industry standard MMPs.
What is one marketing lesson you wish you’d learned earlier?
Never make an assumption! It is easy to assume the way you look at a creative, strategy, or solution is the right way, but nothing is black and white. To be a great marketer you need to be able to see outside of yourself. Most importantly, you have to be able to put yourself in the shoes of the person you are targeting. You can not assume anything without considering who is the intended audience and how they will perceive what you are showing them.
What’s been the coolest thing you’ve done with your unlimited PTO?
I took a two week European vacation and went back to my favorite city, Madrid. I also visited Greece for the first time and ate more feta cheese than I am proud to share. Ended the trip with a bang going to Oktoberfest. So thankful that 3Q’s unlimited PTO policy let me enjoy so many new adventures.
What sets 3Q apart from other agencies in the industry?
3Q is unique in being a center for growth in many aspects of their employees’ lives. From paying for monthly fitness benefits to numerous mental health resources as well consistent educational opportunities, 3Q Digital is like no other agency around. By taking well-rounded care of its employees, it is unique in valuing the individual growth of an employee as a reflection of the success of the agency as a whole.
When coworkers come from other offices to visit, what is one thing they absolutely have to do in San Diego?
Go to Seaport Village and enjoy the sights and smells! Nothing better than a stroll along the water taking in the famous SD sun.
What 3Q initiative outside of your job description are you most proud of being a part of?
I am a proud member of 3Q3%; last year I led a bake sale for the SD Humane Society that raised ~$400! I think it is amazing to work within a company that truly values charity as a fundamental aspect of company culture.
Tell us about your morale associate (pet)?
Manny is my sweet five-year-old frenchihuahua. I have always wanted a dog but sadly never had one growing up. After volunteering at the Humane Society every week, I decided I needed to get a dog pronto! After months of searching, Manny’s cute face popped up and I was sold. He is an absolute cuddlebug, and I am beyond thankful to have him in my life.
What’s something that makes your office cooler than the other 3Q offices?
The fact I can bring in my dog, Manny, to work with me is such a joy. He loves nothing more than when I say we are going to work.
If you were given an unlimited amount of money to invest into one upcoming or exciting marketing technology, what would it be?
Mobile augmented reality advertising will continue to grow in the near future. As the importance of personalization and instant visibility of the product being advertised grows, I would invest in the development of these ads. Beyond HTML5 and playable ads, this next level of mobile advertising will continue to grow the realm of possibilities within the mobile advertising ecosystem.
How do you spend your free time?
With my 3Q besties, the “GirlPodSquad.” We all met sitting at the same pod and became fast friends. Very thankful to have met such strong and amazing ladies at work. I also enjoy volunteering at the San Diego Humane Society with dogs in need; I’m truly appreciative of having that opportunity to give back to such sweet animals.
Throughout your career, who have been some of your biggest muses, supporters, and role models?
I am lucky to have a wonderful support system from great mentors within 3Q Digital as well as my parents and friends. I’m very thankful for all the support I have across both my professional and personal relationships.
