This is the subhead for the blog post

Our Humans of 3Q series continues this week with Kirsten Gansert, Account Manager, out of our San Diego office! Get to know Kirsten below:

Explain your role at 3Q in 3 sentences or less.

I am an Account Manager specializing in paid social. I manage campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social platforms to drive awareness and conversions for my clients.

What’s one marketing lesson you wished you had learned earlier?

Data is so important. Even if you have a gut instinct about creative or targeting that will work, it is always important to use data to make sure you are making the right decision for the client.

What sets 3Q apart from other agencies in the industry?

The way 3Q cares about their employees really sets us apart. 3Q truly values work-life balance and encourages employees to take care of themselves in order to have a productive work environment.

What’s something that makes your office cooler than the other 3Q offices?

We are in one of the most beautiful downtowns in the country, just minutes away from the marina, and surrounded by amazing food and right next to Petco Park. That, along with all the amazing and fun people in the San Diego office, makes us the best!

When coworkers from other offices come to visit, what’s one thing they absolutely have to do in your city?

Eat everything! There is so much great food around San Diego. Some of my favorites are Davanti Enoteca in Little Italy, Harney Sushi in Old Town, Tribute Pizza in North Park, and OB Noodle House in Ocean Beach.

Tell us about your morale associate (pet) if you have one.

In my hometown in Reno, I have a mini sheepadoodle named Rosie. I’m planning on dognapping her so she can be a San Diego beach dog soon!

What’s been the coolest thing you’ve done with your unlimited PTO?

I’ve visited my sister in Paris, taken a girls’ trip to Belize, and skied in Crested Butte, Colorado. Taking a week off to go to Belize with my college friends was so amazing! We snorkeled with sharks and stingrays, tubed through caves in the jungle, and went jet skiing. I love to travel, so having unlimited PTO that we are actually encouraged to use is incredible.

How do you spend your free time?

In true San Diego style, I like to spend most of my free time outdoors- whether it’s hiking, camping, or hanging out by the beach. San Diego has so much to offer, and it is hard to fit it all into a weekend!

What do you think has been the most interesting change in the marketing industry or in your channel this year?

Security concerns with Facebook have opened up the opportunity to test other advertising platforms. I have run campaigns on Twitter and LinkedIn, which has taught me a lot about the importance of diversifying platforms for advertising.

If you could choose any TV show or movie world to live in, what would it be?

Definitely Harry Potter. I was such a Harry Potter fan when I was little and would dress up and go to all the book releases and movie releases.

What is the last book you read?

Educated, by Tara Westover; it is such a well-written book and an interesting story. I highly recommend it!

What is your next adventure?

I am hoping to backpack around Portugal in the fall and backpack Havasupai in Arizona at some point soon! I’m not a homebody, so I like to travel and explore as much as I can.
