Our Humans of 3Q series continues this week with Juliette Hegadorn, Account Associate based in Charlottesville! Get to know Juliette below:
Explain what you do at 3Q in sentences or fewer:
As an Account Associate, I mostly handle account optimizations, campaign launches, and client communication and support Account Managers as needed.
What are some personal tips/tricks you have for working from home?
I’ve found that taking a walk (or taking your pets for a walk) has been a great way to take a quick mental break. Ordering food delivery for lunch has also been a fun little way to have something to look forward to during the day.
What’s something that makes your office cooler than the other 3Q offics?
The Charlottesville office loves a good taste test! The last one we organized was a blind, lime seltzer taste test.
When coworkers from other offices can visit once again, what’s one thing they absolutely have to do in your city?
EAT (and drink)! There are so many amazing restaurants in the Charlottesville area, not to mention a plethora of vineyards with the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. What more could you ask for?
Tell us about your morale associate (pet: if you have one).
I have 3! I own two dogs, Ruston and Saint, and Hector, the cat. They have all been lifesavers during this WFH period and I love them to death. Ask anyone on my team, but I talk about them pretty much constantly.
What’s been the coolest thing you’ve done with your unlimited PTO?
Does nothing count? Besides just relaxing, I’ve been able to catch up with my friend group over Facetime a lot, which has been awesome since we all live in different cities now and don’t get to see each other as often as we would like.
What do you think has been the most interesting change in the marketing industry or in your channel this year?
It has been super interesting to witness the spike in eCommerce due to COVID-19 and in-store closures. I’m amazed by all of the small businesses that have been able to take their stores online in such a short amount of time.
How do you spend your free time?
I have done so many puzzles since being in quarantine. I also like to paint and have been recently working with oils.
What is the last thing you read?
In the Dream House, by Carmen Maria Machado
What is your next adventure?
At this point… probably my next trip to the grocery store, but I would love to visit Japan at some point.
If you could choose any TV show or movie world to live in, what would it be?
Any Wes Anderson movie. I’m all about the aesthetic.
What do you miss most about your office?
First and foremost, the people! I miss being able to debate which taste test we want to try next! But our office is also right below a pie/coffee shop, so I also miss grabbing a mid-afternoon snack.
What are your best tips for staying connecting with co-workers while you work remotely?
I think that checking in with team members over Slack has been super-helpful for staying connected. Our team also hosts weekly happy hours, and this past week we all dressed up as “places we would rather be.” It was fun shaking things up a little, while still getting to talk to people that I am not currently working on accounts with!
