Humans of 3Q: Meet Elizabeth Kennedy
Published: January 31, 2020
Our Humans of 3Q series continues this week with Elizabeth Kennedy, Digital Marketing Specialist, out of our Charlottesville office! Get to know Elizabeth below:
Explain your role at 3Q in 3 sentences or fewer:
I support the success of our clients via digital marketing efforts!
How is 3Q different from other agencies you’ve worked at?
So far it has been the training! I’ve learned so much and have had so much support from everyone on the team. 3Q is the real deal.
What’s something that makes your office cooler than the other 3Q offices?
It’s pet-friendly, plus all of our conference rooms are named after local hikes.
When coworkers from other offices come to visit, what’s one thing they absolutely have to do in your city?
Take a ride out to Shenandoah National Park and go for a hike! If you’re an advanced hiker, try out Old Rag. If you just want a short and sweet hike with a view, try Blackrock or Calf Mountain. Either way, treat yo-self afterwards with a wine or a brew at one of our amazing local wineries and breweries! Seven Arrows Brewing in Waynesboro is one of my favorites for beer and Grace Estate winery in Crozet is a fantastic place to sample wine from grapes that are all grown in Virginia!
What’s one marketing lesson you wish you’d learned earlier?
What’s one life lesson you wish you’d learned earlier?
The way people treat you is a reflection of how they feel about themselves and not representative of your worth. This lesson taught me both compassion and self-awareness.
Tell us about your morale associate (pet: if you have one).
I have two! One is a furry long-haired rescue cat named Harley and he has a beagle mix brother named Audie. Harley has been known to come with me on a leash to local breweries, while Audie revels in the attention he receives at our 3Q Charlottesville office.
How do you spend your free time?
Pursuing a variety of active and creative endeavors. Also enjoying my time with my morale associates, my boyfriend, and my friends!
What’s been the coolest thing you’ve done with your unlimited PTO?
I haven’t had the opportunity to use it yet, but I plan to use some of it to section hike the Appalachian Trail.
If you could choose any TV show or movie world to live in, what would it be?
I loved the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender growing up and the same holds true today! Who wouldn’t want to “bend” the elements?
What is the last thing you read?
An article about a couple who purchases investment homes as a side hustle.
What is your next adventure?
Locally, hoping to check out the Kennedy Fire Tower Hike out near Harrisonburg. On a larger scale, Puerto Rico!
Throughout your career, who have been some of your biggest muses, supporters, and role models?
Most recently, I’ve seen marketer David Schloss as a digital marketing role model. I’ve learned a lot of valuable lessons for marketing on Facebook and Instagram from following him throughout the years and respect his candid honesty.
