Our Humans of 3Q series continues this week with Cynthia Chau, Payroll Clerk out of our Chicago office! Get to know Cynthia below:
Explain your role at 3Q in 3 sentences or fewer:
My role at 3Q as a Payroll Clerk may include the responsibilities for many other duties other than just issuing employment compensation, but I am honored to have the opportunity to “own it.”
What sets 3Q apart from other agencies in the industry?
What sets 3Q apart from any other agencies in the industry is the culture. 3Q provides a “flexible, dynamic, always-learning culture,” and that “keeps us happy and motivated.”
What’s something that makes your office cooler than the other 3Q offices?
I think each and every one of 3Q’s offices is unique and cool in its own way. But the Chicago office has an excellent selection of snacks and beverages.
When coworkers from other offices come to visit, what’s one thing they absolutely have to do in your city?
When coworkers from other offices come visit the Chicago office, they should definitely take a tour at the Millennium Park as it is located less than two blocks from the office.
What’s been the coolest thing you’ve done with your unlimited PTO?
One of the coolest things that I have done with my unlimited PTO was and is traveling. So far, I have used my PTO to travel to Las Vegas. My upcoming trip will be to Michigan Dunes.
Have you participated in 3Q 3%? If so, what’s been your favorite experience?
One of my favorite 3Q3% experience was our volunteer with Meals on Wheels for the Northeast Levy Senior Center. We played bingo, passed out prizes, and then served meals to the seniors. Seeing the smiles on the seniors’ faces was priceless!
How do you spend your free time?
On my free time, I like to bike along the lake (if the weather permits) and/or simply relax at home and watch my favorite television shows.
What do you think has been the most interesting change in the marketing industry or in your channel this year?
Although I am a payroll clerk at 3Q, I’ve learned that lots of things change in the marketing world. I think the most interesting change is the digital and voice-based assistants because they have accounted for a greater number of search queries than ever this year.
If you were given an unlimited amount of money to invest into one upcoming or exciting marketing technology, what would it be?
If I was given an unlimited amount of money to invest, I would invest in Chatbots. More than half of consumers expect a response within 10 minutes to any marketing, sales, or customer service inquiry. Since bots are powered by a computer program that automates certain tasks, they typically chat with a user through a conversational interface.
