This is the subhead for the blog post
Our Humans of 3Q series continues this week with Corinne Damon, Account Manager, out of our Austin office! Get to know Corinne below:
Explain your role at 3Q in 3 sentences or less.
I am an Account Manager in the Austin office. I have the opportunity to manage a variety of paid media channels and focus primarily on optimizing, analyzing, and strategizing with my team. There’s really no set day-to-day, so it’s an exciting role!
What’s one marketing lesson you wished you had learned earlier?
While the data is important, it’s all about the story you tell.
What sets 3Q apart from other agencies in the industry?
3Q is unique from other agencies because it invests as much in its employees as it does its clients. From the endless training opportunities to monthly “tea times” with the team, it’s nearly impossible to not learn and challenge yourself on a daily basis.
What’s something that makes your office cooler than the other 3Q offices?
The Austin office has a Game of Thrones theme! Tell me you’re not jealous when someone joins your training session from King’s Landing.
When coworkers from other offices come to visit, what’s one thing they absolutely have to do in your city?
Check out some live music – it’s not called the Live Music Capital for nothing!
What is your next adventure?
I’m heading to Madrid and the Canary Islands in June. Can’t wait to stuff my face with some paella.
Tell us about your morale associate (pet) if you have one.
Bo may be one of the sassier morale associates of 3Q. He is half-yellow lab, half-border collie but surprisingly hates the water and is not the best with fetch. Unfortunately, he lives with my parents in California, so he doesn’t get to enjoy Austin’s famous food week for dogs.
What’s been the coolest thing you’ve done with your unlimited PTO?
Visit family throughout the country! My last trip was to Portland, OR, to visit my 9-month-old niece.
Have you participated in 3Q 3%? If so, what’s been your favorite experience?
My favorite 3Q 3% experience has been working at the Austin Animal Center. We had the opportunity to walk the cutest little dogs (sorry Bo!) and play with kittens.
How do you spend your free time?
I had never been to Austin before I moved here, so I love spending my free time exploring the city and its amazing hiking trails, live music venues, and food truck spots.
What do you think has been the most interesting change in the marketing industry or in your channel this year?
The development of smart speaker advertising.
If you were given an unlimited amount of money to invest into one upcoming or exciting marketing technology, what would it be?
I would invest in machine learning technology, like virtual assistants. Last year, the Echo was Amazon’s top-selling product for the third year in a row – I think the technology’s high demand will only continue to grow.
If you could choose any TV show or movie world to live in, what would it be?
Kuzcotopia – llamas everywhere!
What’s your favorite TED talk?
I have to admit that I haven’t seen many TED talks, but I loved Adam Driver’s “My journey from marine to actor.”
