Our Humans of 3Q series continues this week with Chrissy Loehman, Associate Creative Director of Copy, out of our Austin office! Get to know Chrissy below:

Explain your role at 3Q in 3 sentences or fewer:

I make words sound good. From display ads and social posts to video scripts and out-of-box concepts, I ensure the copy and overall creative is super engaging, high impact and click-worthy.

What sets 3Q apart from other agencies in the industry?

WFH, unlimited PTO, and the most amazing, supportive, and genuine team of people ever!

Tell us about your morale associate (pet: if you have one).

Charlie is a 12-year-old(ish) border collie. He’s mostly deaf and now we think mostly blind. We rescued him when he was around 3. He loves catching the ball but will most def judge your ball-throwing abilities. If you don’t throw it right, he will glare at you and go inside with his ball. He also will only eat his dog food if there’s a topper. His topper preferences include parmesan cheese, olive oil, pasta and pizza. Cleary he’s part Italian.

What’s one marketing lesson you wished you had learned earlier?

Sometimes your first ideas are the best ideas. Write everything down! But also, sometimes those first ideas are absolute TRASH. It takes time to learn the difference.

When coworkers from other offices come to visit, what’s one thing they absolutely have to do in your city?

Ummmmmm NOT POSSIBLE to just list one thing. Austin is such an amazing town; newbies must drink all of the margs, eat all of the bbq, and listen to all of the live music.

What’s something that makes your office cooler than the other 3Q offices?

Endless supply of delicious tacos close by. ALSO, Game of Thrones conference rooms. AND gummy bears in the kitchen at all times.

What’s been the coolest thing you’ve done with your unlimited PTO?

That is yet to be determined! No PTO yet since I just started!

What 3Q initiative outside of your job description are you most proud of being a part of? (3% diversity committee, etc)

I’m so looking forward to participating in the 3Q3%! Such an incredible initiative and so very important to give back.

How do you spend your free time?

Wait, free time? WHAT’S THAT? I have 2 small kiddos so the free time thing is a little nonexistent at the moment, BUT I do loooove playing with my sweet boys! Sammy is 4 years old and is truly kind, SO FUNNY, and has nonstop energy. Reed is almost 6 months old and is a high-maintenance chunky monkey who loves laughing, eating, biting, and eating some more. I also have a wonderful husband who is a photographer/videographer/digital tech extraordinaire and has great hair. Beyond family time, I love running half-marathons (why haven’t I ever done a full? GREAT QUESTION), going camping, and drinking wine.

What do you think has been the most interesting change in the marketing industry or in your channel this year?

So many changes, but I’ll just focus on social. It hasn’t even officially happened yet, but the potential upcoming END OF ALL LIKES ON SOCIAL POSTS. I’m very curious if Facebook will actually go through with it and remove the number of likes from people’s posts as an effort to improve the world’s mental health. While I think this could be a really great thing, I’m betting all the influencers out there think otherwise.

What is the last thing that you read?

Oh Crap! Potty Training

If you could choose any TV show or movie world to live in, what would it be?

The Octonauts (AMIRITE, fellow parents?!?!): an underwater world with friendly, talking penguins, and sea otters. Also, vegimals (half vegetable/half animal). MAGIC, I tell ya.

What’s your favorite TED talk?

Anything from Brene Brown. I <3 her.

What’s your favorite GIF?

I have many.
