Get to know HR Manager Natalie Pejooh, a 3Qer from San Francisco, CA.
Who is the unsung hero of your team?
I can definitely think of a few… The office managers (Charo, Victoria, and Jess) are the heart of the 3Q offices. A huge part of these awesome OMs’ jobs is to ensure the happiness of others. The IT team (Carl and Takeshi) works tirelessly to make sure we are running smoothly and have flown to the different offices to ensure after a big office move everything is properly set up. The finance team (Michelle, Laura, Shinky, and Dennis) handles so many deadlines, and I don’t know how they do it. And of course Laura Rodnitzky! Laura always has great ideas and advice on how to continually improve the culture.
What’s the best part of your office?
I feel like we have something for everyone (kegerator, atrium to chill out or work, our bbq grill, cornhole, stocked kitchen, all the coffee and tea you could ever want, chocolate-covered pretzels, outside work area equipped with wifi, we’re dog friendly). I guess the fact that we have our own office building next to AT&T Park makes us pretty spoiled!
Care to share your favorite spot to work from home?
Uh, bed. I feel like sometimes I can get more work done laying on a bunch of pillows hanging out with my new cat bff, Forty. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
What does 3Q’s culture mean to you?
Our culture is everything to me; it’s my job. We believe in meritocracy, because the input of our 3Qers is what’s going to keep us going. So, naturally it’s easy to get behind that. So much good has come from people’s suggestions (3Q You, Local Perks, Culture Club, etc.). One thing that someone mentioned to me and I had never thought about is that it doesn’t matter where you are in our company, everyone talks and hangs out with each other; you especially don’t have to feel uncomfortable speaking to higher-ups. They are happy to chat, maybe even over a beer. 🙂 I also love that David encourages people to set 1×1’s with him every quarter no matter how big we get.
What advice do you have for someone who wants to work at 3Q?
It’s easy for me to go on about culture, and that’s one great aspect of working here, but it’s not everything and it shouldn’t be your motivation for wanting to join 3Q. It’s an added bonus! We are looking for collaborative people who are passionate about digital marketing, who are proactive, resourceful, and have great attention to detail. If you like writing blog posts, even better. 😉
Which of 3Q’s core values is most important to you, and why?
Innovate! This industry is built on innovation, and to be relevant we must do our best to find new and better ways to accomplish things. Externally, we have done a great job of being in tune with our client’s needs and the services we provide, and internally we have managed to restructure our org that benefits team members more.
Our Client Services team members constantly push themselves to provide the best services to our clients. Beyond the training program our training team has set up, they also provide Lunch and Learns, and office hours in order to learn new tips and tricks surrounding any platform we use. Thanks to our marketing team’s stellar events and blog, we have become an incredibly well-known name within the industry. We are across the board constantly proving how innovative we are.
Which 3Q value do you most embody, and how do you embody it?
Acting for the greater good. I strive to make sure others are happy, and if someone is need of help I make sure I am there for support.
If you had to switch offices, which office would you pick and why?
The SF and SM offices will always have my heart, and even though I haven’t even visited this office yet, I think I would have to go with San Diego. What a fun bunch of people! Not to mention warm weather, lots of beaches, and amazing fish tacos. If/when we get a New York office, I might have to rethink my answer.
What is your motivation to come into work every day?
I truly work with some amazingly smart people who value their team and work they put in. I admire and respect every moving piece within our company. It’s so easy to come into work when you’re working with people who only want to produce the best work they can. The cereal-tea-puppy cuddles combo first thing in the morning doesn’t hurt either.
What has been your favorite perk item/activity?
Hands down the Giants’ game, club level. It would have been even better if they had won. Second goes to the massages. I wonder how many people will say cornhole…
What trips have you gone on/do you plan to go on with your unlimited PTO?
Thank goodness for unlimited PTO! I’m not going to lie; when it was announced we were switching to unlimited PTO, I wasn’t so keen. I barely took vacation and I was fine just raking in some extra cash. I was so wrong; taking time off is very necessary! Sometimes you just need a day to re-charge and relax and I’m so thankful we have that luxury. Just this year alone I’ve visited 3 major cities that I had never been to before: Chicago, New York, and New Orleans, and in October I’m going to Austin.
Would you rather fight 100 duck sized horses, or one horse sized duck?
Ducks are one of my favorite animals (I grew up next to marshes and ponds so they would hang out with me in front of my house a lot), so I am going with 100 duck-sized horses. Seems pretty easy to take. A horse-sized duck just sounds mortifying.

What’s your favorite thing on your desk?
My fuzzy dolphin puppet that Josh Neuman gifted me should I need to resolve any conflicts. (JK!)
