Last Sunday, PPC Associates sponsored a walk-a-thon for Palo Alto’s Sand Hill School, a wonderful institution for kids with learning disabilities. We handed out goodies and watched the kids’ faces light up – and we walked away feeling like we were the lucky ones.
When the Sand Hill School approached us about getting involved, we jumped at the chance. The school is known for its tremendously dedicated staff and level of dedication to helping bright, gifted children who struggle with mainstream learning. The school provides individualized plans for each student to help them learn in their own ways, meet friends with similar stories, and gain confidence in day-to-day tasks that seemed impossible in other classrooms.
The kids loved the sunglasses and water bottles we had on hand, but they were most excited to see all of their families, friends, and teachers cheering them on. (Check out these smiles.)
Over the past five years, we’ve built our company into what we think is a great resource for (among other companies) Silicon Valley’s smartest, most innovative brands. Getting to a place where we can sponsor an event for such a good cause in the community that helped us grow is very rewarding indeed.
