isearch mediaHere at 3Q Digital, we’ve always felt that we were fundamentally different than your average agency. Indeed, our internal mantra is “we’re saving clients from inept agencies.” We’ve also played with the concept of the “un-agency” or just “the best digital marketing agency in the world.” Today, we’re taking a step in an even bolder direction (more on that in a bit).

As we’ve grown, we’ve been approached by numerous agencies looking to merge, acquire, or be acquired by 3Q. We’ve never acted on any of these opportunities, in part because we’ve never found another agency that lives by the same ideals and passions that we do.  That ends today. Today I’m very excited to welcome the team at iSearch Media to the 3Q Digital family. We’ve been ‘frenemies’ with iSearch for a few years now – we’ve competed against them for clients but we’ve also had fun getting to know Maury, Scott, Brian, and Charles along the way. The more we got to know iSearch, the more we realized that our two companies shared the same DNA of client success.

Like 3Q, iSearch is founded by folks who really don’t have agency experience but really do have incredible digital marketing domain expertise. Like 3Q, iSearch hasn’t grown through an army of salesmen and aggressive marketing, but rather through referrals and word-of-mouth. And like 3Q, iSearch is truly built for the future of digital advertising, with an incredible focus on data and analytics and a proven track record of delivering positive ROI for clients.

This is more than just a complementary merging of capabilities; we believe that our resulting insights into consumer behavior, with data analysis and full-scope channel expertise to match, will push digital marketing into a new, personalized, consumer-focused dimension. As far as scale, we’ll instantly become the largest independent digital marketing agency based in the Bay Area, with almost $300 million of digital spend under management and over 110 people. And we’ll have a roster of amazing clients that are literally a who’s who of Silicon Valley leaders.

When I founded 3Q (then PPCAdBuying.com) in 2008, I never dreamed that we could build the industry leader that we have become today. With the incredible iSearch Media team by our side, I’m confident that our next six years will be even more phenomenal than our first six.

David Rodnitzky
David Rodnitzky is founder and CEO of 3Q Digital (formerly PPC Associates), a position he has held since the Company's inception in 2008. Prior to 3Q Digital, he held senior marketing roles at several Internet companies, including Rentals.com (2000-2001), FindLaw (2001-2004), Adteractive (2004-2006), and Mercantila (2007-2008). David currently serves on advisory boards for several companies, including Marin Software, MediaBoost, Mediacause, and a stealth travel start-up. David is a regular speaker at major digital marketing conferences and has contributed to numerous influential publications, including Venture Capital Journal, CNN Radio, Newsweek, Advertising Age, and NPR's Marketplace. David has a B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago and a J.D. with honors from the University of Iowa. In his spare time, David enjoys salmon fishing, hiking, spending time with his family, and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, not necessarily in that order.
